How to Design a Landing Page That Converts (and How to Use WhatsApp to Close Sales)
A landing page has one job: getting the person to take an action. Here's how to structure it to achieve that.

A landing page is a page with a single goal: that the person who arrives writes, calls, buys or signs up. Unlike a full website, it doesn't have a menu with ten escape routes. Every element is there to move the visitor closer to that action.
The structure that works best
- A headline that promises a result. It says what the person gets, not what your company is called. Example: “Your new kitchen in 15 days, with no surprises in the price”.
- A subheading that clarifies who it's for and what's included.
- A primary button visible from the first screen, with a clear verb: “Get a quote on WhatsApp”, not “Submit”.
- Real social proof: reviews with names, photos of your work, client logos with their permission. If you don't have any yet, don't invent it: use clear guarantees or your process.
- Benefits and differentiators, in the customer's language.
- How it works, in three or four steps.
- Answers to the most common doubts (price, timelines, guarantees, service areas).
- A final call to action, repeated.
Consistency between the ad and the page
If your ad promises a “free waterproofing estimate”, the page should talk about exactly that in the first headline. When the message doesn't match, people leave. That consistency also improves your ad quality in Google Ads.
WhatsApp as a closing channel
In Mexico and much of Latin America, many people prefer to message on WhatsApp rather than fill out a form. A well-made WhatsApp button reduces friction. The key is the prefilled message: the person just taps “send” and you know where they came from.
https://wa.me/52XXXXXXXXXX?text=Hola%2C%20vi%20su%20p%C3%A1gina%20y%20quiero%20cotizar%20un%20proyecto- Use the international number format, with no plus sign or spaces (in Mexico, 52 followed by ten digits).
- The text is URL-encoded (encodeURIComponent in code).
- Change the message depending on the page or campaign so you know which ad worked.
- Reply fast: response speed matters more than almost any other factor.
Forms: less is more
Every extra field lowers conversions. Ask only for what you need to follow up: a name, a way to contact them and, if necessary, a field to describe their need.
Speed and mobile
If the page is slow to load, you pay for clicks that never see your offer. Prioritize a lightweight main image, few fonts and zero unnecessary scripts. And check everything on a real phone.
How to measure and improve
- Define the conversion event: a WhatsApp click, a call, a form submission.
- Track visits, conversions and cost per conversion in Google Analytics 4 and in your ad platforms.
- Change one thing at a time (headline, button, image) and compare.
- Review session recordings or heatmaps if you have enough traffic.
